THE RESET: FAST AND CONSECRATION

 

A Personal Message from Pastor Anthony

 

Hey Family,

​

This is Pastor Anthony here, and I want to talk to you about something I’m really excited about—something that’s going to take us all to a new level, both personally and as a church. We’re calling it “The Reset: Fast and Consecration,” and it’s all about getting back to what God has called us to be. This is our moment to reset—not because we’ve been bad, but because we believe there’s better.

​

Over the course of four days—Monday, July 28 through Thursday, July 31—we’re cutting some things out, digging into prayer, and making space for God to do something real in us. This isn’t just about food. It’s about focus. It’s about reconnecting where we’ve grown distant, examining what’s really going on inside, and recommitting to what matters most.

​

Maybe life has been loud. Maybe you’ve been distracted. Maybe you’ve just been in survival mode. This is your time to breathe again, hear again, and move again. This is your reset.

​

We’ll be walking through themes of Connection, Conscience, and Commitment accentuated with CLARITY.

​

You’ll get a daily devotional, scripture reading plan, journaling prompts, independent prayer time and a call to prayer each day at 5:25 AM. And yes—we’re fasting together. Why? Because some things only shift when we push the plate back and press in deeper.

​

I’m believing this will be a catalytic week for you—and for us as a church.

​

So don’t treat this casually. Show up hungry. Show up ready. Show up honest.

​

Let’s not miss what God wants to say—and let’s not waste this opportunity to reset.

FAST OVERVIEW: WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Here’s how we’ll walk it out together:

​

 Daily Prayer

  • Corporate 5:25 AM Prayer Call (Monday-Thursday) 

  • Individual Morning, Midday, & Evening Prayer Focuses

​

 Daily Scripture + Devotional

  • A key focus for each day (Connection, Conscience, Commitment, Clarity)

  • Daily scripture readings, devotional reflections, and journal prompts

 

Fasting Discipline

  • Food: No fried foods, pasta, sweets, alcohol, chips, or bread

  • Beverages: only water, tea, and coffee (minimal sweetener)

  • Additional: Choose one full meatless day during the fast

 

Reflection & Alignment

  • Revisit the 2025 vision and Halftime Report of The New Church

  • Assess your alignment with the mission: in prayer, presence, giving, and support
