"Where Every Experience Is A New Experience"

From the Desk of Pastor Anthony
Hey Family,

I pray that this letter finds you in a great place, and if not, I speak a shift even while you are reading it. I will do my best to make this as brief as possible; however, I encourage you to read this letter in its entirety.

The New Church (formerly known as New Life Fellowship) has been in existence since May 1, 2005. It began with no assets, no members, and a young 24-year-old preacher struggling with the reality of God calling him to plant a ministry. Throughout the years, the ministry has experienced multiple iterations, accompanied by multiple attacks. To that end, I’m not clear about everything; however, I am clear that this ministry has always been a threat to the enemy’s plans. Therefore, it has been a priority on the enemy’s list for destruction.

Despite the enemy’s plans, nearly 21 years later we are still standing, we are still gathering, and we are still serving—and for that I am grateful. As you may have heard me say recently, 2025 was literally the worst year of my life. While we were celebrating 20 years, I was internally wrestling with and forced to deal with far more proverbial fires than I could have imagined.

So fast-forwarding to 2026, I entered with hope, introducing a vision of commanding who we are by using our mission as a guide, buffered by our aims, accentuated by our desired culture, and powered by our multiplication engine of Effort × Efficiency × Exposure = EXPECTATIONS. While I knew it was divinely given, I must admit that as we are rounding out the first quarter, I missed one thing. I thought the vision was to streamline us and push us ahead; however, things just weren’t shaping up that way. New partners were coming; however, some current partners were noticeably not present. So I did what the Sunday School teacher asked me not to do—and that is, I asked God why.

Now quite transparently, my heart began to grow cold at what seemed like God’s silence to that question. Then it was revealed to me. Once I received the revelation, I immediately understood God’s seeming silence—it was something I didn’t necessarily want to hear. And that is: right vision, but not for the reason you thought. Then I felt it to the depth of my belly: Anthony, you are in a MINISTRY REBUILD.

“What did you just say, Spirit? A rebuild? No way. I am too old for that.”

And then again I felt it: Yes, a rebuild.

Essentially, the vision that has been launched is designed to be a catalyst for this endeavor, and those who are authentically connected to you and to TNC will need to accept this challenge. And if you do, what once looked like a loss will return with so many gains and wins. People will give their lives to Christ, experience community in a refreshed way, and serve God and people with the deposits God has invested within them.

Pastor, what’s your point?

Okay—here it is.

I need YOU. No, like really—I NEED YOU.

I need you to understand that you were sent to TNC for this moment right here and right now, to build something special within the kingdom. Now for that to happen, we will need to surrender. All personal agendas and confrontational spirits must be destroyed.

But check this out: if we commit fully, I heard the word SUDDENLY. Suddenly we will see the reward for our efforts, both collectively and individually.

So as I round these sentiments home, I am calling for your support. I am asking for your followship (yes, followship—not fellowship). From the Big Three, to serving, to community, to an intensive focus on our mission, aims, culture, and multiplication engine.

The first place this shows up is in our seriousness and attentiveness to THE WEEKEND WORSHIP.

It is home base. It is community, culture, compelling worship, and coming into God’s presence all wrapped up into one. Simply put, it is a tangible way to see Jesus and to see growth—both numerically and transformationally.

Family, will you help me give the enemy a black eye?

Will you buy into the vision?

Will you help me by supporting and engaging weekend worship starting THIS SUNDAY with your presence, your participation, your punctuality, and by pushing out invites like never before?

Let’s see what growth looks like, starting THIS SUNDAY.

And remember—Sunday is where we start, however ministry is where we continue.

I love you all. We are rebuilding together, and the enemy is a liar.

Pastor Anthony
